The makers of the film have been facing a lot a hurdles. Yet, within all the hustles the team manages to surprise their loyal fans with insightful tit-bits about Mersal.
According to reports across media, director Atlee recently met with the press for a friendly catch up and have revealed and clarified a few doubts. The most emphasised information that have been wildly spreading across media is that, the presumably flashback portion Vijay's name in the movie is 'Thalapathy'.
It must be noted that, 'Thalapathy' is the endearment used to refer Vijay in real life by his fans. However, Atlee has apparently clarified that they chose the specific name because the bearded rural based character demanded a powerful name. In addition, it is also speculated that the specific flashback portion of the film will be the highlight of the movie, with a run-time of more than 45 minutes.
Meanwhile, it is most affirmatively assumed that Mersal will not have a trailer! It may come as a disappointing news to the actor's loyal fans, but it seems like the makers of the film will not unviel a trailer as such, anyhow the promo videos for the film which has been cirulating in specific television channels, contains more details and dialogues. It is also speculated, that another promo might be released closed to the release date.
Vijay plays three roles in the film, with Nithya Menen, Kajal Aggarwal, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the female leads and SJ Suryah, Sathyaraj, Vadivelu and Kovai Sarala in pivotal roles. Bankrolled by Thenandal Studios Limited, Mersal is said to hit the screens for sure on Diwali, amidst all the ongoing Local Body and Entertainment Tax issues.
