Singer Neha Bhasin, who’s known for songs like 'Pesugiren Pesugiren' from Sathaam Podathey and 'Poraney Poraney' from Vaagai Sooda Vaa, has come up with a Punjabi folk song 'Belihaziya' that has gone viral on social media.
Singer Neha Bhasin, who’s known for songs like Pesugiren Pesugiren and Poraney Poraney, has come up with a Punjabi folk song Belihaziya that has gone on to earn over 1 lakh views in just a day. “I always look to do something new by pushing my boundaries. The result is Belihaziya,” says the singer.
Talking about the song, Neha says, “It is about heartbreak and conveys a message of being good to others no matter what. It is a dance ballad with meaningful and strong lyrics. The song and video are works of pure art. The song is composed by Sameer Uddin but the production is very contemporary. It’s an electro-pop dance ballad, a first for me too.”
Apart from Neha’s voice, the song has also turned out to be a visual treat. “We shot the song in the jungles of Coorg where the director of this song MG Bopanna was born and raised. Also, the underwater shot that one can see in the song was quite a challenge as it was canned on a rainy day. It was a clear water pond inside the jungle where we shot and the situation was quite tricky,” she says.
The song also has various colour composites in the visual. “The colours were used to describe the changing state of mind of a human. The song which begins with a green environment, changes to black, then to pink before coming back to green. We were very particular about that and that is how we wanted it to be,” she adds.
