Even before Ajith could start his 58th film 'Viswasam' with Siva, sources have confirmed that the actor’s 59th film will be directed by H Vinoth of 'Sathuranga Vettai' and 'Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru' fame.
While Ajith fans have been speculating about Viswasam, it is now known that the actor’s 59th film will be directed by Vinoth. The director’s first film Sathuranga Vettai was a heist-thriller, while Theeran Adhigaram Ondru was an action thriller based on real-life incidents. Both the films gained a huge critical appreciation and were huge hits at the box-office.
A source close to the actor told us, “It is true that Ajith 59 will be helmed by director Vinoth. He had narrated this script to Ajith after Sathuranga Vettai. As the actor was busy with Vedalam and then later went on to do Vivegam, Vinoth in the meantime did Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru. The yet-untitled Ajith-Vinoth project will go on floors after Ajith completes Viswasam.”
Divulging more information, the source said, “The rest of the cast and crew or yet to be decided. It is too early to even talk about the production house. However, Ajith has given the nod for the film after listening to the script.”
Vinoth was unavailable to comment. We hear that the filmmaker in 2016 had narrated a one-liner to Ajith and it had impressed him. The film will either hit the screens for Pongal or April 14 next year.
Meanwhile, Ajith’s Viswasam, which will be helmed by director Siva and has Nayanthara playing the female lead, will go on floors on March 20. Viswasam will release for Deepavali this year.
