Post Nadodigal 2, actor-director Sasikumar, who has done hit films like 'Subramaniapuram' and 'Nadodigal', will be seen playing the lead in K Bhagyaraj’s 1982 blockbuster film 'Thooral Ninnu Pochu'.
Actor-director Sasikumar, who has done hit films like Subramaniapuram and Nadodigal, will be seen in the remake of Bhagyaraj’s blockbuster film Thooral Ninnu Pochu, which had Sulakshana and M N Nambiar in pivotal roles. We hear from reliable sources that Sasikumar will be reprising Bhagyaraj’s role, and Raj Kiran will be seen in Nambiar’s role.
When we contacted Bhagyaraj, we were told that the film’s remake rights will be given to Sasikumar and Co. “We were approached for the film’s remake rights and we have decided to give them. There will be an official announcement on this soon.”
Talking to us, Sasikumar said, “Yes, it is true that I will be playing the lead in the remake of Bhagyaraj sir’s Thooral Ninnu Pochu. It is one of the cult classics in Tamil cinema and we thought it would be nice if we remake the film with modern sensibilities. The talks are on, and we will come up with an announcement on this soon. We also believe that Raj Kiran would do justice to MN Nambiar’s role.” He adds, “We are yet to decide on the rest of the cast and crew. It’s too early to talk more about the film.”
There were also rumours that after completing Nadodigal 2, Sasikumar will be seen in a sequel to Sundarapandian. However, the actor-director has denied the rumours.
