The latest we hear from sources close to Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming project with Karthik Subbaraj is that the film will go on floors from the second week of June. Talking to us, a source in the know of things, said, “The crew has already reached Dehradun and are erecting huge sets of the film in the hill station. In fact, the Madurai portions of the film will be shot in Dehradun.”
Talking about the shooting schedules, the source said, “The film was initially supposed to go on floors from June 7. However, there is a slight delay in the schedule and the team will begin shooting from June 9 or 10.”
We were the first to report that Rajinikanth’s next to be helmed by Karthik Subbaraj will have Vijay Sethupathi and Simran playing the villain and one of the leads respectively and will go on floors from next month. While the rest of the cast is being kept under wraps, we hear that a leading actor will be seen playing Rajini’s friend in the film.
“The story is based in Madurai and revolves around two friends. While another actor was initially roped in to play Superstar’s friend in the film, he had to be replaced by another actor in the later stages of pre-production for various reasons. The rest of the cast and crew will be announced by the makers as the shooting progresses,” the source added.
