National award-winning child artiste Sadhana Lakshmi Venkatesh, who won the audience’s hearts with her acting in director Ram’s Thangameenkal, earlier this week won the prestigious Princess Diana Memorial Award.
Sadhana received this award for her work in serving the society, especially special children from her school in United Arab Emirates. Director Ram took to Twitter and congratulated Sadhana on her achievement. Talking about winning the award Sadhana said, “I had an opportunity to interact with spastic students while I was shooting for my second film with Ram sir titled Peranbu.
That changed my life. I’m happy that I could help my fellow students and I thank my school for supporting my cause. It was my school, who had sent my name for nomination. Post school hours, I give them speech training, teach them dance and their lessons. I believe this will motivate others to come forward and help special students.”
