We had earlier reported that Vikram’s next will be Mahavir Karna, a trilingual in which the actor will be seen playing the titular role. The film will be simultaneously shot in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.
The latest is that the makers of the film launched the project recently in Thiruvananthapuram’s Sree Padmanabaswamy Temple with actors Suresh Gopi and Unnikrishnan. Vikram couldn’t attend the event as he is busy shooting for his Kadaaram Kondaan in Malaysia. Mahavi Karna is Vikram’s costliest film in his career. Directed by RS Vimal, who made the film Ennu Ninte Moideen, the cast and crew of the film will be announced by the makers soon. We also hear that the technicians have been hired from Hollywood, who had previously worked in the Game of Thrones.
The film is all set to start rolling from January and will release in the first half of 2020. Meanwhile, the actor is all set to complete the shoot of Kadaaram Kondaan, which is directed by Rajesh M Selva of Thoongavanam fame and is produced by Kamal Haasan under his banner Raj Kamal Films International. Vikram also awaits the release of his spy-thriller Dhruva Natchathiram directed by Gautham Menon.
