Though more than four filmmakers are in the race to make a biopic on the late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, director Priyadharshini is constantly surprising the audience with updates on her film.
Titled The Iron Lady, the first look poster of the biopic featuring Nithya Menen was unveiled by the director on Wednesday to mark Jaya’s second death anniversary.
It was an instant hit on social media, as the actress had a striking resemblance to Jaya in the 80s. Director Priyadharshini, who worked as an associate for Mysskin, had earlier said the film would go on floors on February 24, 2019, which falls on Jaya’s birthday. We also hear that the makers are currently working on recreating some of the old studios in Kodambakkam where Jayalalitha spent most of her days. The film chronicles JJ’s life as a film star and political leader.
