After playing a north Madras girl in Vada Chen nai, Aishwarya Rajesh surprised her fans by playing the role of a cricketer in Kanaa . The film went on to receive rave reviews from both critics and the audience.
During the film’s success meet, which was recently held in the city, Aishwarya Rajesh had said that many filmmakers in Kollywood were organising success parties even when their film failed at the box office. Though many appreciated Aishwarya for her bold statement, Sivakarthikeyan, the producer of the film, interupted and jokingly asked her to be cautious as it might offend a few in the industry. In fact, fans of actors, whose films got released along with Kanaa , went on to troll her on social media. Her comments didn’t go well with people in the industry too.
The next day, Aishwarya Rajesh, apologised on social media and said that she didn’t mean to hurt anyone. She wrote, “Hi guys. It was just for fun. The speech at # Kanaa SuccessMeet I dint mean any movie in particular. In fact, I never hurt anyone. I pray for all the movies to become blockbuster. I know how hard it is to make a movie, and make it a success. Really sorry if my statement hurt anyone.”( sic )
