The shoot of Samantha’s O Baby Yentha Sakkagunnave, the remake of the south Korean film Miss Granny, is progressing at a brisk pace in Hyderabad.
Earlier, there were reports that Samantha will play dual roles — that of a 20-year-old girl and a the 70-year-old woman. Now, we hear that the film’s director Nandhini Reddy has decided not to use prosthetics for Samantha and complicate the process.
Instead, the makers are in talks with another actress to play the role of 70-year-old woman. A source in the know of things says, “Initially, the team had plans to transform Samantha into an aged woman using prosthetics. However, the director felt that it might affect the flow of the script as the original version had two different actresses playing the leads.”
The source adds, “Veteran actress Lakshmi is currently in talks for the role. Once things get finalised, the actress will join the sets in February.” Samantha is also waiting for the release of Super Deluxe, which has Vijay Sethupathi in the lead
