Recently, there were reports that the shoot of Shankar’s much-awaited political thriller Indian 2 was progressing at a brisk pace in Chennai and scenes involving Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal have already been shot.
We now hear that, the makers of the film have decided to postpone the shoot midway due to various reasons.
Sources close to the team said, “Initially, the team decided to shoot continuously for 30 days. However, Shankar decided to call off the shoot in the middle as he was not satisfied with Kamal Haasan’s look and make-up.” The source added, “Both Shankar and Kamal realised that the make-up looked artificial after seeing some of the footages they shot. That’s the reason they decided to postpone the shoot for a while.” Speculations did the rounds that Shankar will leave for the US to meet some of the renowned technicians and make-up artistes to improvise on Kamal’s look.
Meanwhile, AR Rahman, who composed the music for the hit film Indian, recently revealed that actor Kamal Haasan wanted him to compose music for Indian 2 as well. He said, “Kamal kept asking me to compose for Indian 2. But, Shankar is a person who wants to get inspired. Sometimes, when you work with the same person back-to-back you get bored. Moreover, 2.0 was really exhausting. Shankar would have thought that he shouldn’t make me over work.” Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, the film also has Siddharth, Nedumudi Veni and Delhi Ganesh in pivotal roles.
