Director Bala reveals that it was his decision to leave Varmaa as he had creative differences with the producers of the film
The recent statement from the production house that’s remaking the hit Telugu film, Arjun Reddy in Tamil, has come as a shocker to the entire industry. E4 Entertainment announced that they were not happy with the final version of Varmaa, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Bala and have even decided not to release the film.
After remaining silent for a couple of days, director Bala has finally opened up on the raging controversy and revealed that it was he, who left Varmaa considering Dhruv’s future. He said, “I am forced to release this explanation, due to the false statements from the producer of Varmaa. To safegaurd my creative freedom, it was my own decision to relieve myself of this project.” He released an agreement copy that was initiated by him with E4 Entertainments on January 22, 2019. Bala also added that he would like to end this controversy considering the future of Dhruv Vikram.
Meanwhile, the producers of Varmaa said that a new version of Arjun Reddy remake will be shot soon and they are planning to release it in June. Varmaa, which was directed by Bala, was supposed to be the debut film for Dhruv. Megha Chowdhury played his romantic interest.
