The National Award-winning filmmaker Ketan Mehta has produced the first full length 3D animation film of India titled Motu Patlu - King of Kings under the banners of Viacom18 Media Private Limited, Cosmos Entertainment and Maya Digital Studios with Deepa Sahi and Anish JS Mehta as co-producers.
Based on the popular TV series for children, the movie that comes with the direction of Suhas. D.Kadav, revolves around two best friends from Furfuri Nagar. The characters are adapted from the classic Hindi comic magazine 'Lot Pot'. In addition to this popular characters, Guddu (a lion) has its introduction in this film.
“The TV programme is extremely popular and has been running for nearly 3-4 years. So in terms of characters for the film, we already had that. We were ready for it. But our main aim was to make the film better,” says producer Mehta.
"The best part about 'Motu Patlu - King of Kings' is that it mixes entertainment with a message. I'm proud it's made in India, has an Indian story and desi heroes," states Deepa Sahi, the co-producer.
