The new Hindi film 31st October is based on a true life story of a Sikh family that got stuck in Delhi on the day of 31st October 1984, the day when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated. The film is a production venture from Harry Sachdeva of Magical Dreams Production Private Limited under the direction of Shivaji Loten Patil.
The film stars Vir Das and Soha Ali Khan in the lead roles and Lakha Lakhwinder Singh, Deepraj Rana, Vineet Sharma, Nagesh Bhonsle, Daya Shankar, Pritam Kagne and Sezal Sharma in the supporting cast.
Producer Harry Sachdev himself has written the script and Ramanai Ranjan Das has handled the camera. The film, which got officially selected for its screening in the London Indian Film Festival held in July, received a standing ovation from the audience. Now, after facing many hurdles, 31st October is finally hitting the screens on 21st October.
