Post a number of controversies, the film is finally seeing the light of day.

Bollywood's another romantic drama film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, is scheduled for its release on 28th October as a Diwali feast to the movie buffs. This production venture of Hiroo Yash Johar and Karan Johar of Dharma Productions, includes Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles with Fawad Khan (a Pakistani actor), Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt giving cameo appearances. Deepti Naval and Lisa Haydon are also added in the supporting cast.
Producer Karan Johar himself has penned the script and has helmed the cast and crew. Anil Mehta has taken care of the camera works with Pritam Chakraborty rendering his composition for the musical scores. When the promotional activities of ADHM were on with a trailer release, the film faced a major ban hindrance as 19 Indian soldiers lost their lives in the terror attacks that happened at Uri, the India-Pakistan border, on 18th September. This incident created a stir and resulted in a demand for the Pakistani artists to quit India. With the intervention of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, this issue has been sorted out with a compromise and Karan Johar's ADHM is screening along Ajay Devgn starrer Shivaay on this Diwali week end. Fox Star Studios has acquired the theatrical release rights of this film.
