Coming out with a clean 'U' certificate, 'Neruppu Da', is a tribute to the brave firefighters, and has portrayed the fire service in a different way. Directed by debutante Ashok Kumar, this film also marks Vikram's debut as a producer under his First Artist production banners
Just like the title, Vikram Prabhu will be seen as a firefighter in his much-awaited next Neruppu Da, directed by debutante Ashok Kumar, which is all slated to hit the screens on September 8, as per schedule. This film also marks Vikram's debut as a producer under his First Artist production banners, and distributed by Cine Innovations.
Neruppu Da features Nikki Galrani as it's female lead, with Varun, Motta Rajendran in pivotal roles and Naginedu, Aadukalam Naren, and Madhusudhan Rao among others. The music is scored by up-and-coming Sean Roldan, fame of Pa Pandi, with RD Rajasekhar cranking the lens. While the cuts have been provided by Thiyagu.
The title Neruppu Da has been lifted from a song from Rajinikanth's Kabali. According to reports across media, as the movie revolves around the life of a firefighter and as he is a hardcore Rajinikanth fan, they zeroed on this title after careful deliberation. The team has apparently even sought permission from the producers of Kabali to use the phrase as their movie's title.
The film is said to be a tribute to the fire service, and has portrayed them in a different way. Neruppu Da has been awarded with a clean 'U' certificate by the censorship board.
