When two ace directors of Kollywood join hands with a bunch of young talents, Savarakathi happens. Filmmakers Ram and Mysskin turn actors with this one of a kind dark humour film. Helmed by the latter's brother GR Adithya, Poorna plays the female lead, with tunes provided by Arrol Corelli.
It must be noted that both Ram and Mysskin have acted in lead roles previously under their directorial. But, this the first time both filmmakers have turned actors for another director. Ram is said to play the role of a barber and a husband and father to Poorna and two children and an unborn, while Mysskin is a gangster.
Poorna in a recent media interaction had stated that the character she pulls off in Savarakathi will change her career and is so far the best role she had gotten the opportunity to get her hands on. She also went on to thank the previous heroines who had rejected the role.
Also, Mysskin who is known for his wit and humour has penned down the dialogues for the film. It's going to be a completely different experience to see such established directors in a lighter fun shade. Bankrolled by Lonewolf Productions, Karthik Venkatraman has handled the cinematography, while Sathees Kumar has provided the cuts. Coming out with a clean "U" certificate, Savarakathi is all slated to hit the screens tomorrow, February 9.
