Kadhir (Rajesh) is jobless and he just roams around with his friends. One day he meets Swetha (Gauri), the daughter of Saravana Poigai and starts loving her. On hearing Kadhir's attraction towards Swetha, her uncle Duraiselvam threatens Kadhir. Even then, Kadhir does not change and angered by this, Duraiselvam ransacks Kadhir's house with his brothers. They put him as a captive in a brick factory.
Swetha's father verifies whether she knows him but she gives a negative reply. On seeing the bruised man, she falls in love with him and they start conversing over the phone. At one stage, her parents and her uncle come to know the truth. What happens to their love is the rest of the story.
Rakesh resembles a village youth but needs to improve a lot in his acting. Though Gowri Nambiar fits the rural character, she is not that expressive in romantic scenes. J.K.Selva as Saravana Poigai looks threatening. Suresh Vincent as the uncle does not have much scope in acting.
The movie itself is very lengthy and confusing. The songs are average in Selva's music. Even Selvakumar's cinematography is not clear and fails to be impressive.
