Pandavarayan (Thambi Ramaiah) and Meenakshi (Kovai Sarala) are a rich couple who lives near Pollachi. They have two sons - Vanavarayan (Krishna) and Vallavarayan (Ma.Ka.Pa. Anand). The couple pamper their sons too much.
Vanavarayan loves many girls in the village but no one reciprocates the feeling and he gets dejected. One day, both the brothers go to a nearby place to attend a wedding. There Vanavarayan meets Anjali(Monal Gajjar) and is attracted to her. At one stage, even she reciprocates the feeling and they start loving each other.
Anjali's brother Sivaraj (S.P.B. Charan) comes to know about the love and he beats Anjali. On hearing this, Vanavarayan goes to Anjali's place that night and meets her. Unfortunately, they get caught by the villagers and Vanavarayan is beaten up.
Anjali's father returns home and pacifies his daughter. He convinces her and promises her that he will get her married to Vanavarayan. Meanwhile, Vallavarayan spoils everything when he insults Anjali's family in a drunken stupor. After realizing his mistake, he tries in all possible ways to amend it.
Both Krishna and Ma.Ka.Pa have done justice to their roles and Ma.Ka.Pa as a debutant has performed well. Monal Gajjar looks bright but does not fit the role of a village girl. S.P.B.Charan as a strict brother has handled the role well. Thambi Ramaiah and Kovai Sarala makes the scenes hilarious with the Kovai slang. Jayaprakash as an affectionate father is impressive. Santhanam gives his entry for fifteen minutes and captures the audience throughout his presence.
Director Rajmohan has given a love story with comedy and sentiment. Apart from few scenes which could have been avoided, the whole movie depends on comedy. Two songs are good in Yuvan Shankar Raja's music and the rest are pretty average. Paalnikumar's cinematography brings out the beauty of Pollachi.
