Police is in search of Akhil who lives in Chennai as he is involved in some theft cases. Afraid of getting caught, he boards a bus to Thiruvannamalai. On the way a co-passenger (Malluri) faints suddenly and Akhil helps him to recover. Malluri develops a good impression about Akhil and knowing that Akhil is an orphan, he takes him to his house.
Malluri's daughter is married to Thambi Ramaiah against her parents' wish and so they don't have any contact with him. Now, Thambi Ramaiah's daughter (Saranya) falls in love with Akhil. Disliking this attitude Akhil condemns Saranya for which she tries to commit suicide. Akhil saves her and accepts her love but when Malluri comes to know about their love affair he sends Akhil out of his house.
Thambi Ramaiah meets him and brings him back to his place just to frustrate Malluri. He is not aware that his daughter is in love with Akhil. Police comes in search of Akhil and on his absence, they take Thambi Ramaiah to the station. Thambi Ramaiah confirms that he is not associated with Akhil.
Meantime Saranya feels bad about loving a thief and Akhil explains the reasons to her. Satisfied with the explanation, she leaves with Akhil to Chennai. Thambi Ramaiah tries to find them out with the help of the police. The rest of the happenings are narrated in the screenplay with many twists and turns.
Akhil plays the role of an innocent youth and is expressive in romantic scenes but fails to score otherwise. Saranya Nag has done her part well. Jose Malluri, Thambi Ramaiah, Kovai Sarala shines with their experience. Sona who shows her entry in the second half has done the negative role perfectly.
Director Desika has taken this movie to portray the wrong decisions taken by youngsters in their adolescent period and the sufferings they undergo. The movie moves in a slow pace and causes irritation. Dialogues adds strength to the movie. The songs are average in Selvaganesh's music but BGM is not up to the mark. Chittibabu's cinematography is good.
