In the midst of this Jenny (Sri Divya) who shifts to Jeeva's next door starts loving him. Even Jeeva falls in love with her but when Jenny's father comes to know about this, he separates them by sending Jenny to another city. This dejection makes Jeeva a drug addict and to resolve this problem Jeeva's father puts him in the training club. There Jeeva becomes friends with Ranjith (Lakshman) and David (Soori).
Due to their talent, both Ranjith and Jeeva are selected to play in Ranji Trophy but the political game played there prevents their chances. Frustrated by the situation, Ranjith commits suicide but Jeeva is not ready to give up. Meanwhile he traces Jenny and they continue their love. When they seek their parents permission for the marriage Jenny's father insists him to quit cricket. What Jeeva does is the rest of the story.
Vishnu as a cricketer fits well into the character and his stylish performance gets appreciation. Sri Divya as Jenny scores both in her looks and acting. Lakshman as Ranjith utilizes the chance given to him and does a good job. Soori has failedto impress with his comedy.Though Charlie gives his entry after a long break he proves his talents.
'Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu' fame director Suseendran proves his talents once again by handling the plot so efficiently and a big applause is given to him. Madhi's camera work is an added strength to the movie especially in the playground scenes. Songs and BGM are good in D.Imman's music.
