Sokku Sundaram wears colourful dresses and just wanders with his friends. His ambition is to fall in love and get married but none of the girls show any interest in him. His mother (Vadivukarasi) is worried about him as he is getting old.
A yoga teacher comes to train him and he falls in love with her. Yoga teacher invites him to her house for her birthday. He leaves his friends and goes to her house. Yoga teacher steals all his jewels and escapes.
He was told by a priest that if he keeps a moustache he can easily make girls fall in love with him. He follows the priest’s instruction and a girl falls in love with him but the very next day the girl gets engaged to another man. Sundaram becomes very disappointed.
One day, his friend’s sister who stays in the same village comes to his place with his boyfriend to stay safe in his house. Sundaram helps the pair in getting married and this infuriates his friend. He challenges Sundaram that he will never get married and he will never let him to do so at any cost. Did Sundaram get married or not is the rest of the story.
M.R. has played the role of Sokku Sundaram. He looks perfect for a man in his early 30’s but he needs to improve his acting. His attempt to make comedy irritates the audience and his dance is not appealing. Sowjanya fails to impress while Nisha does well. ‘Kulla’ Sundar, ‘Bonda’ Mani, Chaplin Banu, Benjamin and ‘Karate’ Raja have done their roles well. Vadivukarasi as usual has given her best in this film.
James Victor has composed music for the film and the song ‘Kappal Vidathae’ in ‘Gaana’ Bala’s voice is quite good. Background score doesn’t match with the scenes. Mahi Balan could have handled the cinematography better. Director Sridhar has attempted to make a humorous script but fails at it for lack of good dialogues.
