Azhagu (Vemal) and Michael (Soori) who live in Tuticorin district are friends and they waste their time doing nothing. They make an effort to close the liquor shops in their place and it is appreciated by the women residing there. A young girl falls in love with Michael and he too starts loving her.
They both decide to run away to Chennai on the first day of their meeting. Azhagu decides to help them but while waiting in the railway station he reveals that Michael is jobless and his lover ditches him. Feeling bad about this Michael decides to leave to Chennai with Azhagu. They meet Priya (Priya Anand) who is a doctor in the train and immediately Azhagu falls for her.
During the train journey a mysterious gang tries to murder Priya but the duo saves her from them. When asked about this Priya says that she had been to Tuticorin for a medical camp. There she happened to meet her friend who was working in a factory and found out many of her colleagues were suffering with infections. She informed the factory owner (Nassar) about the bad sanitation but he did not take it well so she took the issue to the court and the verdict was to be issued. Priya reasons out that this might be the cause for the murder attempt. Hearing this, the friends decide to help her in this and how they solve it is the rest of the story.
Vemal has given a regular performance. Soori has gained more importance than the hero and has utilized the opportunity effectively. Nassar performs his character in a different way. Priya Anand impresses with her glam looks.
Director R.Kannan has failed to take the storyline interestingly. Many comedians like Soori, Thambi Ramaiah and Singamuthu mark their presence but the movie misses out on being a totally comical one. The director can be given credit for mentioning the sufferings of factory workers.
Songs are catchy in D.Imman's music and the song sung by actress Lakshmi Menon is enjoyable. Cinematography is not up to the mark.
