Viddharth an innocent fellow leads his life by selling firewood. He is in love with Samskruthi who is related to Thambi Ramaiah, a tea shop owner. Once a sandalwood broker seeks Viddharth's help for his illegal business but Viddharth refused it.
Viddharth's friend Muthukumar tries to get the posting of a forest ranger but bribery makes him unable to achieve his goal and he also works with Viddharth. One day when Muthukumar gets caught by a forest ranger for smuggling sandalwood trees, he makes Viddharth to accept the blame. Later he utilizes the situation and becomes an informer with the recommendation of the higher official Naren. After that he starts making money with the broker and plans to evacuate the tribal people who are a hindrance to him. Viddharth comes to know about his plans.
In the mean time, he gets the friendship of activist Samuthirakani in the prison. He advises Viddharth that forests are the wealth of the people and it should not be allowed to be destroyed by intruders. Whether Viddharth is able to prevent Muthukumar is shown in the rest of the screenplay.
Hero Viddharth has done his part very effectively and scores in his acting. Heroine Samskruthi looks beautiful and acts well. Samuthirakani's character has been pictured well and his dialogues are catchy. He has given life to the character. Even Muthukumar has done well.
Debutant director Stalin Ramalingam can be appreciated for his social message about preserving the forests. The choice of the actors according to the story is a plus indeed.
Music is enjoyable in K's composing and Jayaraju's cinematography adds strength to the movie.
