Manoj Devadoss is an orphan and has a desire to learn boxing. He is brought up by the area boxing coach George Vijay who teaches him the game.
Rajesh who is a don in that area has a habit of earning money through betting. One day a Boxing match is conducted in that area and Rajesh asks George to send an inexperienced fighter so that his representative might win. In return to this favour, he says that George need not repay the money which he borrowed.
Instead of the experienced boxer, Balaji, George sends Manoj to the competition but Manoj wins the match. To correct the loss, Rajesh arranges for another match and bets that he will not involve in betting anymore if his nominee loses the match. Otherwise he bets that George should not involve in any further matches. So George prepares Balaji for the competition but Balaji withdraws in the middle due to the bribe given by Rajesh. So George decides to put Manoj in the field. Does Manoj become successful or not is narrated in the rest of the screenplay.
Director Vijayakumar has delivered the movie in a dramatic way and since there is no continuity in the sequences the movie is not enjoyable. Even the fighting scenes are not up to the expected standard.
Manoj could have given more care and speed in performing the boxing scenes. Veena with a character that yearns to take revenge of the villain who destroys her family has played her portion beautifully and shines in many scenes.
Rajesh gets an appreciation for his villanic act. George Vijay is not that suitable for the coach role but he has performed effectively. The background music is average in Charles Melwyn's composition. Saravanan Pillai's cinematography is not enjoyable due to improper editing.
