Shriya's father dies early and the family suffers in poverty. Her mother develops cancer and they are in need of money for her treatment. When they stand helpless her maternal uncle leads her to prostitution.
Though unwilling, Shriya decides to go for it to get money. She continues this even after her mother's death. She starts a charity with the feeling that no one should suffer like her and helps cancer patients.
The town's M.L.A wants his son to get married but the boy shows no such interest. The M.L.A plans to get huge returns by making his son marry a girl whose father is so close to him. He uses Shriya to convince his son. On seeing Shriya, the son falls for her but the M.L.A is against this. What happens after that is narrated in the rest of the screenplay.
Shriya attracts the audience as a naive female. Nizhalgal Ravi and Roja have justified their roles. Manobala and Mayilsamy make the scenes hilarious. Hero Kaushik Babu is seen in few scenes only but is work is commendable.
Director Vidyasagar has done this emotional story with the necessary artists needed for it. Songs are okay in Srilekha's music. V.N.Sureshkumar's cinematography looks colorful.
