Sampathram is a dairy businessman in his village and Irfan is his son. His father sends his mother out of their house in the early childhood of Irfan due to suspicion and marries another woman. So Irfan grows up without knowing mother's affection.
Irfan joins his father in his milk business. Singam Puli is his friend. His father had a wish to become an drama artist but dies without achieving this desire. So Singam Puli runs a drama troop and Irfan plays small roles in his dramas.
Once when this two go out to see aa alliance for Singam Puli Irfan clashes with Archana. Later they fall for each other and start loving. When Archana's father knows this he fixes her marriage with another guy. Angered by this Irfan goes to Archana's house with the idea of bringing her out. But after hearing Archana's talk to her friend about marrying a rich person he becomes depressed and leaves the
place.
After this he starts loving Arundathi Nair who runs a grocery shop. He neglects the milk business due to this and his father gets angry with him. He sends Irfan out of the house. In this situation his father's friend narrates the reason of his parent's separation. Irfan finds out his mother's residence and goes there to meet her. The rest of the happenings are narrated in the screenplay.
Hero Irfan comes very active throughout the movie. He expresses his feelings and acting talents in a great manner. Archana comes in the first half and reveals casual acting and has beautiful looks. Arundathi Nair also scores with her acting capacities.
Singam Puli has been given an character equal to the hero. He utilises the chance with his experienced acting. Sampathram also registers himself strong in his character.
Director Ramesh Rangasamy had made this movie based on a real life story in a comical way. Though the selection of artists is apt to the screenplay the director could have selected any one of the theme between love and mother's affection and made the story a neat one.
Songs are okay in Kannan's music and C.J.Rajkumar's cinematography could have been given more care.
