Hero Deepak is an anchor in a local TV channel at Salem. Knowing his talent an elder person from his village sends him to Chennai.
Deepak comes to Chennai and stays with his friends Sentrayan and Kumaravel. Kumaravel works in a lead channel and with his help Deepak joins in that channel as an anchor. He gets chances to host small shows and the big shows are bagged by someone else. Frustrated by this he does not show much interest in his job.
In this situation his mother makes arrangements for his marriage with a rich person's daughter and asks him to come home. Deepak borrows 5 lakhs from a money lender and spends for his marriage but the bride elopes with her lover on the wedding day. Appalled by this incident, Deepak gets more frustrated as he is put into trouble again.
While returning to Chennai he meets heroine Neha in the bus and falls for her. One day Deepak sees her with another man in a hotel but when he rings up to her she avoids him. This also makes him more dejected. Surrounded by all this problems one day Deepak and his friends consume liquor in a bar and create chaos. When they wake up in the next day they are all in the Police station. Without knowing what happened last night they start their daily routine.
In that time the anchor and the money lender whom Deepak thinks as his enemies get killed one by one. He receives an anonymous call that the murders were done as per Deepak's instructions. The hero then comes to know that Neha is the next victim and wants to save her. What happens next has been shown in the rest of the screenplay.
Anchor turned actor Deepak has scored in all the scenes. Neha has done her part well. Naan Kadavul Rajendran's character adds big strength to the movie. His entry itself marks this and his facial expressions and the tone of his voice gets the appreciation of the audience. Even Sentrayan and Kumaravelu add their part in the comedy galatta. Saminathan’s humour portion is also hilarious as well. Though seen only in few scenes dance master Sandy has given good performance.
The adverse effect of drinking has been given with a comedy twist by director Sakthivel. Songs are okay in Saran, Dilip and Prasanna's music and the background music is excellent. Camera works of R.Venkatesh is a feast to the eyes.
