Hero Mahesh loses his mother at a young age. His father remarries and his stepmother is not affectionate towards him. Mahesh meets Ananya and falls in love with her as she is affectionate towards him.

One day Mahesh is accused of a mistake he never committed and his stepmother sends him out of the house. Frustrated by this incident, Mahesh starts stealing in houses for his monetary needs.

He comes to know about a gang which robs in middle-class houses by diverting the residents’ focus by conducting magic shows in the colony campus with the support of police inspector Venkatesh. One day Mahesh gets caught by the gang while stealing and they join him in their group.

Mahesh has huge respect for Yuvarani who is a close relative of Ananya. One day Yuvarani dies in a chain snatching incident and Mahesh realises that the men from the robbery group have killed her while snatching her chain.

Feeling sad about the death of Yuvarani, Mahesh decides to put the gang into trouble by staying along with them. He informs the people in advance about the robbery which is about to happen in their place with the help of Ananya.  

At one stage inspector Venkatesh finds out that Mahesh and Ananya are behind this and so he plans to murder them. What happens after this is to be seen in the rest of the screenplay.

Hero Mahesh looks apt for the middle class youth but has struggled a lot to bring out the right expressions. Ananya has done her part well. Jagan also gets appreciation for his performance. Venkatesh had done well as a police officer and the villain.

Director Bala Sriram has conveyed a strong message through the film. The story focusses on the middle-class people who are targeted by the thieves mainly because of their inability to fight for justice and the movie could have been made more interesting with a crisp screenplay.

The music of Dhina and the camera works of Krishnasami are not up to the mark.
