Simon Masrani (Irrfan Khan) is the billionaire owner of the Jurassic World theme park. He has an urge to create an environment in which huge dinosaurs can entertain mankind. He takes the help of Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard), who is the operations manager of the theme park to make it fully functional with all features that would attract more visitors.
A sophisticated research crew develops an albino dino Indominus Rex who has the built of a T Rex and intelligence of a highly skilled killer.
Simon Masrani, the park's owner, takes Claire to see their new genetically modified dinosaur and tells her he wants Owen Grady, a dino expert and trainer, to make sure the enclosure is adequate. As Owen arrives to inspect the enclosure, they find that huge animal has escaped.
The dino’s escape comes as a huge shock to Claire and Owen and they try hard to track the presence of the clever killer.
Meanwhile, Claire’s nephews Zach and Gray who had come to visit their aunt take a trip in a gyro sphere which takes them around the enclosure of different kinds of dinosaurs. Unfortunately, the boys get trapped in the gyrosphere and get attacked by the Indominus Rex.
Masrani sends an expert team to capture the Indominus, but find that the dino has already scraped out the tracking device which was implanted in its body. Claire closes off the northern part of the park but Gray and Zach take a wrong path off the road and manage to escape and come back to the park.
Indominus Rex starts attacking the visitors and damages the enclosures of other huge dinos letting them free. Claire takes command of Jurassic World and decides that they will use the raptors to find and kill the Indominus. Together with Owen, Claire finds that the Indominus communicates with the raptors, revealing that it was also created with raptor DNA.
The incidents that follow form the rest of the screenplay. Director Colin Trevorrow has made a perfectly engaging film and eventhough the flick has a predictable plot it easily manages to thrill the audience.
The science adventure film has several interesting scenes like Dinosaurs taking orders from humans and huge hybrid dinosaurs performing in front of people in a theme park set-up.
The VFX and special effects scenes in the film are phenomenal and there are few mind-blowing stunt sequences which depicts giant dinos defeating each other.
The screenplay which has been penned by Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Derek Connolly, and Trevorrow keeps the audience on the edge of their seat and the flick ends with a hint of a sequel.
The lead characters played by Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Irrfan Khan and Vincent D'Onofrio are realistic and all the actors have performed well.
On the whole, ‘Jurassic World’ is all about knowing whether our heroes will be able to save the terrified people when everything goes horribly wrong in a park which nurtures huge hybrid dinosaurs.
