Vadivelu does petty thefts and once escapes from the police commissioner office as well. Thinking he is the right person for the infiltration, the police sends him to the villain's gang to act as an informer. In return for this favour, Vadivelu is assured of a police job and withdrawal of all the theft cases charged against him. Whether he is capable of doing the task or not is shown in the rest of the screenplay.
Comedian Vadivelu impresses the viewers in the beginning but fails to keep up the momentum. Heroine Sada does not have much scope but makes the audience happy by her appearance. Pradeep Rawat has done his portion well.
Director Yuvaraj Dayalan has failed to utilize Vadivelu properly. Songs are enjoyable in Vidyasagar's music and a special mention could be given to the Hindi duet. Paul Livingston's camera has brought out the beauty of 1960's Chennai.
