The flick being a horror thriller makes use of all possible clichés to recreate a scary fearful movie and the makers have put in more effort to keep the audiences engaged till the end.
‘Demonic’ revolves around the happenings in a house where few college students perform a séance to communicate with spirits. The house in which the incidents happen in named as the Livingston House and it has a prior history of a deadly slaughter.
John along with his pregnant girlfriend Michelle and his friends Jules, Donnie, Sam and Bryan attempt to summon spirits at an abandoned house which has a previous history of gory murder.
The séance goes wrong and releases eveil spirits which kills Jule, Donnie and Sam. Bryan and Michelle go missing and John is in absolute shock. When Detective Mark Lewis reaches the place, he sees John right beside the dead bodies of his friends.
Detective Mark calls psychologist Dr. Elizabeth Klein to interrogate John and both of them come to know about what has actually happened.
While Elizabeth talks with John, Mark and his team try to retrieve the hard disks with the footages from the house to find out the whereabouts of the other two survivors.
After a series of horrifying incidents, Detective Mark discovers that John has been possessed by a ghastly spirit and has killed his own friends.
The events that follow has been showcased in the rest of the screenplay with an absolutely engaging screenplay and scary visuals. The technical aspects of the flick are of prime quality and the unexpected twist in the climax hints for a sequel.
The casting is perfect and all the actors have performed in a realistic manner. The flick is full of mysteries and scary scenes perfectly blended with stunning visuals and chilling BGM.
In other words, ‘Demonic’ is a worth- watching horror flick with a seamless suspense in the climax.
