‘Banu’ revolves around the consequences faced by a person after falling in love with a girl who belongs to a different religion.
The film’s hero Cheenu is a honest and disciplined person. He happens to get a job in a two- wheeler showroom in the loan department.
On the way to his new office, Cheenu meets Aishwarya and falls in love with her. He tries to follow her but eventually reaches his new office. Much to the surprise of the hero, Aishwarya works in the accounts department at the same office.
Though everyone at the office work leisurely, Cheenu makes sure he focusses on his work and gets things done on time.
One day, he also saves Aishwarya from goons and this makes Aishwarya to fall in love with him. Both of them start loving each other and when Aishwarya’s family comes to know about the issue, they plan to send Aishwarya to a different place.
Cheenu misinterprets that Aishwarya had cheated him and the rest of the story reveals whether the couple understood each other and got married.
Hero Cheenu has tried his best to fit into the lead role. Heroine Aishwarya looks homely and impresses audience with her subtle acting.
Well-known actors like Manohar and Bonda Mani share screen space with the lead pair and their comedy scenes could have been much better.
Cheenu had acted and directed the movie, He could have focused more of the plot and the screenplay. The story is already been repeated time and again and the screenplay is also not engaging. Cheenu can be appreciated for making a film without any obscene scenes.
Udhayaraj’s music and Abdul Rahman’s cinematography could have been much better.
