The plot of ‘9 Thirudargal’ revolves around the plans and executions done by 9 people to acquire a whopping amount of 50 crore rupees.
Shanmuga Sundaram, who is a rich person, is in his deathbed. He informs his trustworthy worker Nizhalgal Ravi about his assets and how to allot it to his two wives. He also reveals that he has a mentally retarded son who has been admitted in a hospital and his thumb impression has to be used to open a cask locker which has Rs. 50 crores in it.
Shanmuga Sundaram requests Nizhalgal Ravi to find his son and take care of him with the help of the money in the locker.
This conversation has been overheard by the gardener and Shanmuga Sundaram’s second wife. Both of them plan to get the money. Meanwhile, Nizhalgal Ravi also tries to cheat his boss after his death.
All the three people take help from two other persons which makes them as three gangs of three members each.
The rest of the story narrates whether the gangs were able to acquire the money in a funny way.
The film’s director Vijay Paramasivam could have focused more in the casting and the screenplay.
Maria Gerald’s music is good. Gautham Sethuraman and Pathy’s cinematography could have been much better.
