Goundamani is a farmer who lives with his family in a village called Thirukonam. The area’s MLA and his son are least bothered about the people’s welfare and they even intend to acquire the fertile lands of innocent farmers.
Goundamani notices the cunning plans of MLA’a son to acquire farmer’s lands illegally and tries to save people from his trap. Meanwhile, the MLA dies paving the way for by election in the village and MLA’s son contents for the post.
In order to put an end to all the problems, Goundamani unites the villagers and other candidates contesting against the MLA’s son. He also tries to sell the votes to make the politicians understand the villagers' ordeal.
The rest of the story narrates whether Goundamani succeeded in saving the lands and how the politicians responded to his commands.
Veteran actor Goundamani, well known for his witty one-liners, unique body language and hilarious dialogues has yet again impressed audience with his very own style of acting. The ace performer scores in all the aspects and excels in entertaining the audience as well.
Supporting actors like Vishalini, ‘Motta’ Rajendran have done justice to their roles.
Director Arokiyadas can be appreciated for taking up a sensible issue as the story’s plot. His filmmaking skills and characterization are impressive.
Aadhi Karuppaiya’s cinematography and Kay’s music adds more value to the film.
