‘Thiruttu VCD’ is a fun-filled humor film, which narrates the consequences faced by a youngster after he agrees to smuggle drugs from Nagarkovil to Chennai.
Hero Prabha is a cheerful person who earns money by involving himself in illegal activities. He is love with Sakshi Agarwal and she urges him to be honest and straight forward in life.
Prabha convinces her by saying that he will refrain from doing such activities once he earns a ransom amount.
In this situation, Prabha is engaged to bring an idol from Nagarkovil to Chennai and he gets 5 lakhs in advance to do the work. He arranges a group of people to avoid police’s suspicion and starts to Nagarkovil in a van.
Prabha later realizes that he is supposed to smuggle drugs instead of an idol, he hesitantly agress to bring the drugs to Chennai and the rest of the story reveals the adverse situations faced by the hero in a comical way.
Hero Prabha and Heroine Sakshi Agarwal have done their portions well. Though, the plot seems to be simple, the lead artists have performed realistically and the screenplay is commendable.
Sukumar, who has appeared in number of movies as a supporting artist has tried his hands on direction and the youngster has come up with a very decent output full of lively scenes and sensible humour.
Jithin Roshan’s music and Jagadeesh’s cinematography are interesting and appreciable.
