‘Dummy Tappasu’ is a rom- com flick starring newcomers Praveen and Ramya in the lead.
Hero Praveen and Heroine Ramya are neighbors. Praveen is interested in Ramya and he makes sure he is always around her.
Ramya reciprocates to Praveen’s peoposal after much hesitation and the duo start loving each other. In one instance, both of them plan to elope after making love and Ramya leaves home as planned.
She gets appalled after knowing that Praveen has not joined her and seeks the help of local goon Singamuthu’s help to teach Praveen a lesson. Singamuthu also agrees to help Ramya and the rest of the story reveals whether Ramya succeeded in her venture.
Lead actors Praveen and Ramya have tried their best to fit into the roles. The casting looks realistic and the youngsters have done a decent job.
Other actors like Singamuthu, Bonda Mani, John Vijay and Mime Gopi have also done justice to their roles.
Filmmaker Ravi has come out with a rom- com film with a twist in the story. He could have concentrated more on the screenplay and the execution.
Deva’s music and Kannan’s cinematography are good.
