Call taxi driver Maheshwaran, Police officer Jeyachandran and Gangster Jenish are involved in smuggling and Jeyachandran receives an order to shoot down Jenish. How do these people cross each other and what happens to them is Aathyan.
Aathyan means a man who knows everything. However for most of the movie one gets the feeling the hero knows nothing and it is only in the climax we get to know about his skills.
Abhimanyu and Sakshi have minimal scope and have delivered the expected. Jeyachandran, Maheshwaran and Jenish are the ones who give it the feel and tone of a crime thriller which the movie is obviously intended to be.
Aathyan is director Ram Manohar's debut movie. He previously worked as an assistant in 'Naaigal Jakiradhai'. While one has to appreciate him for the different story, a lackluster screenplay and usual scenes lets the movie down.
Hari G Rajashekar's songs and background score are average. Srinivasan's cinematography fails to create any impact.
Adhyan could have been better.
