One of Rakshan’s friend gets into trouble with a cop during a brawl in in the pub. In order to avoid further confrontation, all the friends board a Chennai-bound train. Rakshan meets Kethi in the train and falls in love with her.
Kethi finds out that the group did not buy tickts as they were in a hurry and therefore helps them with the same. She also goes a step further and gets them employed in Chennai.
Meanwhile, police plans an encounter operation against Saran, the right-hand man for politician Shanmugarajan. Knowing this, Saran escapes by ensuring that his look-alike (a friend of Rakshan’s) is in the right spot during encounter.
Rakshan’s friend dies in the encounter operation and Saran also plans to kill everyone who knows about the mix-up. So the rest of the story is about whether Saran succeeded or Rakshan had a better way to escape from this sinister plot.
Debutant Rakshan needs to groom his acting skills and thankfully the director has ensured that there is no overdose of romance or dialogues. Keith looks pleasant on screen. Saran has done justice to his role and has given an effective performance. Sendraayan, Imaan Annachi, Mayilsaami, Black Pandi, Shanmugarajan and Pasanga Sivakumar have performed well.
Director Thirupati has tried to give a different story and with the help of a gripping screenplay has succeeded in doing so. Vijay’s cinematography is good and Sagaya Selvadas’ music is refreshing.
