Praveen Kumar is very affectionate towards his father and when he comes to know about his illness, he moves back to India. He comes to know that his father needs to undergo a surgery immediately and it will cost around 50 lakhs.
Due to dire need, he borrows money from Aruldas for an exorbitant interest rate. Though Praveen saves his father, he is not able to pay the interests on time. Aruldas begins to torture him and he decides to seek the help of his friend, Balasaravanan.
Praveen tries to blackmail his ex-girlfriend Shalini and asks Bala to be a part of the plot. When Bala approaches Shalini, she in turn comes to Praveen. The loop goes on as they plot something against Shalini’s husband, Karthik Kumar.
Karthik Kumar is a doctor and he tries to get the money from an industrialist who in turn informs a local goon (Naren). Eventually, everything comes to Naren’s notice and he realises that Praveen is the main man behind this. So what happens to Praveen thereafter is the rest of the story.
Praveen Kumar fits the role with his innocent looks and Jayaprakash proves his mettle in most of the scenes. Balasaravanan comes across as a character artist and his efforts are appreciated. Naren steals the show with a commendable performance as an aged villain.
The movie has a lot of twists and the director has made it interesting with a touch of humour. The movie pace dips in between with the trail of blackmails but the director manages to convince the audience in the end.
Sarangarajan’s cinematography is good and Joshua Sridhar’s BGM is apt for the movie.
