Two neighbourhoods in North Chennai usually lock horns for a celebrated boxing title. The need for supremacy is so high that the members even fight on streets when they meet each other. Jayam Ravi is currently working to win the title which eluded his father earlier.
In this situation, Prakashraj who runs a TV channel tries to boost his channel’s TRP by using this in his favour. He organizes a huge championship and tries to make money out of it. At one point, Jayam Ravi’s opponent gets injured severely and this causes Jayam Ravi to have a change of mind.
Whether Jayam Ravi continues boxing or does he realise the plot of the media baron and leave it for good is the rest of the story.
Jayam Ravi has worked a lot on his physique and accent. His efforts are clearly visible on screen and kudos to him for trying to do justice to the character. Trisha comes as a fan girl and impresses us with her antics. Prakashraj is completely at ease with his role.
Director Kalyanakrishnan has succeeded in showcasing the exploitation of boxers. Jayam Ravi's dialogues are very powerful and fighting sequences pack a punch.
Srikanth Deva’s music is average and Sathish Kumar’s cinematography is a boost to the movie.
