'Monica House' is the Tamil dubbed version of the Hindi movie 'Click'. Since horror movies are well received in the current trend of Kollywood, the makers of the film have utilized this opportunity to release this flick in Tamil. Directed by Sangeeth Sivan, the film has Shreyas Talpade and Sadha in the lead.
Shreyas is a photographer and Sadha is a model by profession. The duo fall in love and lead a live-in relationship. One fine day, the couple attend an engagement party of Shreyas' friend where Shreyas gets over-drunk. This forces Sadha to drive the car while returning back to their home. Accidentally, the car hits a young woman and she dies. Ever since this incident happens, the couple is haunted by paranormal activities. What happens next forms the crux of the story.
Actor Shreyas has excelled in his character. However, his wig is a complete put off. Sadha looks beautiful and attracts the audience with her glam. Director Sangeeth Sivan's effort to scare the audience is impressive. With that said, at many points of the film, there are technical flaws. The camera work of Ramji and the background score of Sandeep Chowta have enhanced the mood of the film.
On the whole, Monica House is not so haunted
