There is a playground in their town that has seen many generations. Since many of the elders who had played here got government jobs, the youngsters including Jai cherish this place as their own. The real problem starts when a minister plans to acquire this land with the help of an area politician named Das. Jai locks horns with Das and whether he is able to solve the issue and save the ground is narrated in this tale. Amidst this, a little love story of the hero with Surbhi fills up the entertainment part.
Hero Jai has proved his acting skills as a vibrant youngster with social concerns. He gets the audience applause while honoring his friendship. On the whole, Jai has given a better performance in action and romantic scenes when compared to his previous films.
Surbhi has nothing big to score but the romantic scenes involving Jai and Surbhi are cute and enjoyable. With her beautiful looks, she has taken up a role that shows her as a bold character, and she has done it in a neat way.
Karunas as Jai’s brother has played his part well and makes the audience emotional in the climax scenes. Marimuthu who has essayed the chairman character, has grabbed this opportunity to prove his talent.
Velraj's camera shows its supremacy in the night effect scenes as well. The Vivek-Mervin duo has delivered peppy songs like ' Naanga Podiyan' and a few good melodies too.
Having taken a moderate story, the director has tried to make it strong with his dialogues. Though the narration looks realistic, the inconsistency and the slow moving first half make it uninteresting. Based on a political drama, the movie could have created more attraction had it been done better.
