Kevin Hart (Calvin Joyner) who always has a soft corner for Bob, meets him after 20 long years. He is awestruck by his changeover. Tables turn as we see Bob as a rather fit and muscular person this time. He is labelled as the king of actions and proves his strength against the baddies. Bob has now become the celebrity among the group of girls. On the other side, Kavin is married to his high school sweetheart Maggie and leads a mundane life as a loser accountant. He feels that his life is incomplete, but Dwayne motivates him by showing the right direction.
The Rock has given a good performance, especially in the action sequences. However, it is Kevin Hart who steals the show. His witty expressions and humour remains a feast for eyes. In every scene, he manages to keep the audience spellbound with fun and frolic experiences. Amy Ryan as Agent Pamela Harris has carried herself with elan and grace, purely based on professionalism.
We can see how the bond is nurturing between two school buddies- Bob and Calvin. Their on-screen chemistry is good and effective. However, the film lacks in momentum and pace. In spite of the acting skills that is portrayed, one has to keep the intelligence quotient (IQ) away from Rawson Marshall Thurber's Central Intelligence.
