Prabhudeva, Mansoor Ali Khan and Yogi Babu are a gang of thieves who steal divine statues from various temples across the state and country. In this situation, he encounters Hansika and immediately falls for her without knowing her true nature. Hansika is a glamorous con artist who walks up to drunk individuals at a pub and steals all their cash. However, he still tries to woo her even after he gets to know about her.
In this situation Anandaraj is one a quest to find a hidden treasure which is buried near a temple at Gulaebaghavali. After a series of comical turn of events, he holds Haniska and Prabhudeva captive and forces them to get the treasure for him. They reluctantly hit the road along with Anandaraj's assitant Munis Khan.
On the way, they meet Revathi - a manipulative car thief. They befriend her acquaintance as she had agreed to help them get their hands on the treasure. A while later, all four of them instantly cook up a plan to con Anandaraj by keeping the treasure to themselves. How they hit the jackpot and escape the clutches of their captor forms the crux of the story.
Prabhudeva is back with another fun filled entertainer and he has pulled of his character really well. His on screen comedy is hilarious and his dance moves are really impressive. Haniska is present through the film and she has delivered a decent performance. Vetaran actress Revathi's character is sure to impress all the audience as she has pulled of her different yet interesting role really well. Munis Khan and Anandaraj have played their parts neatly, while Mansoor Ali Khan and Yogi Babu's comedy works well in some parts.
Debutant Kalyaan S has attempted to make a comedy heist film and has also done a decent job at the directorial department. The predictable story and hilarious screenplay has nothing new to offer but has the elements one expects from a true commercial movie.Though at times the jokes are little cliched or worned out, he still succeeds in making his audience laugh at various places.
Mervin - Vivek duo has been roped in to provide the tunes for the film, both their songs and background scores are impressive and in sync with the film. RS Anandakumar's cinematography skills come to the fore and he has shot well.
In short, Gulaebaghavali, is feel good comedy heist.
