One of the Kollywood's versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi is back with another fun filled movie. He plays the role of a serious yet funny gang leader. Despite the bizarre costumes and heavy jewellery, the actor plays his part with conviction, and has delivered a top notch performance. He deserves a special mention for his on spot coming timing. Also it is worth mentioning that, he sports more than several getups and looks completely sauve in every one of them.
Gautham Karthik has lived his character. He plays a carefree and a happy-go-lucky guy, and seems like he has throughly enjoyed pulling off his role. It’s not an easy task considering the towering on-screen presence of his experienced colleague Vijay. His growth as a performer is quite evident, particularly in scenes like the one set in a police station.
Niharika Konidela, has successfully ventured into Kollywood through ONNPS. She plays one of the pivotal roles, and has delivered an impressive performance. Though, Gayathrie Shankar plays the other female lead, her role isn't that impactful. Yet, she has done a decent job. Ramesh Thilak, Daniel Annie Pope and Rajkumar have provided the additional comic relief, which clicks well with the crowd. Especially Daniel's performance is applause worthy.
Debutant Arumuga Kumar has attempted to make one of a kind humour flick, with completely two different back drops; village and city. Though the film lacks a plot or a concept, he has done a pretty decent job in the directorial department, with a straight screenplay and lots of fun elements, Arumuga has successfully delivered a packed laugh riot film with all the necessary commercial elements.
Justin Prabhakaran has provided the tunes, and both his unusual scores and songs give a peppy and an energized feel to the film. Cinematography by Sree Saravanan is on point and his shots adds an exciting edge to the film, and so is the edit by R Govindaraj.
In short, Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Sollurean, is a laugh riot.
