Raj Kamal is a tourist guide with an aim to get married to a foreigner. Everyone within his native often tease him about his ambitions. In this situation he meets Andreanne Nouyrigat a French native, who hires Raj as her personal tour guide, and to take her on a trip through out Tamil Nadu.
Raj Kamal gets excited as she is a foreigner and it coincidence with his aims. Also he develops a crush on Andreanne after spending a few days with her, which eventually blossoms into love. How he impresses her and also succeed in achieving his aim forms the rest of the story.
Both Raj Kamal and Andreanne Nouyrigat have delivered an average job. Also, it is pretty hilarious and irritating at times to witness a so called foreigner's ability to converse in Tamil fluently. However, Andreanne has to be appreciated for her attempt at acting in Tamil.
Though director MSS' idea sounds interesting and funny, he has completely mucked up with materialising the movie. He falls short on the screenplay front and has faltered by placing several unnecessary scenes that you can't help but wonder why MSS actually made this movie? Also the pace in which the film travels will surely test your patience.
K Goutham Krishna's cinematography skills come to the fore and his shots are average, so is Raj Keerthi hand at editing. V Kishorkumar has provided the tunes, and both his songs and background scores are mediocre.
In short, Melnaatu Marumagan, is poor.
