Vikram Prabhu saves Bindu Madhavi, from a suicide attempt. Upon confrontation, she immediately hugs him, and begins to express her happiness in finally finding out about his whereabouts. A perplexed Vikram pushes her away, and explains that he has never seen her before. After a while, Bindu realises that it's not the Vikram she is in love with, and breaks down to his doppelganger.
Bindu meets Vikram, a balloon and toy vendor at a village holy festival, and falls in love with him. Eventually they get into a relationship. Bindu's father gets to know about this, and tries to break them apart. At the same time, Vikram leaves the village without informing her. Soon after that, she begins to search for her lover by attending every festival in different villages.
The other Vikram who rescues Bindu, then promises her to find his lover, who co-incidentally looks like him. Meanwhile, he is love with Nikki Galrani, an ardent Rajinikanth fan. They have a love-hate relationship, which is tested when Bindu comes into the picture. How they find the other Vikram Prabhu, and how they success in their life and love forms the crux of the story.
All the three lead actors; Virkam Prabhu, Nikki Galrani and Bindu Madhavi have delivered a decent performance. Since it is a basic entertainer, there wasn't much scope for them to act perse. Soori and Sathish were supposed to provide the necessary humour elements to the film, but their jokes were old, and hardly made the audience laugh.
SS Surya's attempt at an comedy, rural entertainer film has completely backfired. Pakka lacks a punch, logic, story, and basically everything. People just keep talking and talking through out the movie, which really tests the audience patience. Surya falls miserably on the screenplay front and has faltered by placing several unnecessary scenes.
Maybe the only advantage of Pakka, is the cinematography as S Saravanan's skills has made the movie very colourful. C Sathya has produced the music for the film, and his scores and songs are mediocre.
In short, Pakka, is a flop.
